Candy AI's terms describe five messages to characters; in The Companion Lab's test, a new conversation on the same free account hit a lock after a single message once the account allowance had already been used. The reviewer also found that replies could remain brief even after upgrading.

The headline deal is attractive—but the billing term matters. A full year costs far less per month than a weekly subscription, and all longer plans are prepaid.

The yearly plan charges $47.88 upfront, not $3.99 as a separate monthly installment. All these options renew automatically unless canceled. Weekly and fortnightly billing are the most expensive on a monthly-equivalent basis.

The Premium benefits pictured on the subscription page include unlimited text messaging, 100 tokens per month, custom AI companions, adult image and video generation and Live Action. The payment choices shown include cards, bank payments and crypto, with local taxes potentially added.

Premium Plus is another option reported by RankDude: 330 tokens per month (100 standard plus 230 additional). Its price was not displayed in the public checkout material used for this review. An alternate review table shows slightly higher USD figures than the primary pricing screenshots; use the final checkout amount for any purchase.

This is where Candy AI gets expensive. A chat subscription gets you unlimited text; the tempting media extras spend tokens. The standard Premium allowance is 100 tokens per month.

RankDude lists extra token packs from 100 for $9.99 up to 11,470 for $499.99. At the smaller pack's roughly $0.10/token rate, an image costs about $0.20–$0.40, a 12-token short clip $1.20, and a 30-token video $3.00. Bigger packs reduce the unit price. These are top-up equivalents—not extra charges for already included subscription tokens.

What 100 tokens can buy if you spend them on just one type of media:

Watch the auto-send setting. The Companion Lab found “Send videos automatically” enabled by default. In its paid test, an automatic 15-second clip cost 30 tokens although the settings showed 18; one chat branch took the balance from 64 to 8. You can disable automatic video sending in settings, and it's worth doing before a long chat.

Tokens do not roll over. The terms state that “tokens must be used within their respective billing periods” and that “Any remaining tokens in your account will expire and become unusable.”

The character creator is the most instantly rewarding part of Candy AI. A pictured setup screen lets you choose six hairstyles (Straight, Bangs, Curly, Bun, Short, Ponytail), five hair colors (Brunette, Blonde, Black, Redhead, Pink), and three eye colors (Brown, Blue, Green). Another screen shows controls for name, personality, relationship, occupation and voice.

That makes Candy AI a useful option for readers comparing AI girl generators, especially when they want the look to connect to an ongoing conversation rather than only a standalone picture.

How good is the chat? It can be charming and quick, but depth is less consistent than the creator. The Companion Lab found short replies, a limited free trial and a successful short memory check on Premium; its overall conversation score was 5/10. Some ready-made characters and series in that review focused heavily on step-family storylines, which won't suit every user.

The builder feels flexible; the long-term memory claim deserves more caution than the visual customization. Our Premium subscriber's positive impressions don't establish how well every character remembers details over weeks.
